The Plateau Youth G-17 Peace and Progressive Forum wants anti-open grazing law introduced in the State.

A statement by its convener, Musa Bagos said in view of renewed killer herdsmen attacks in the state, government should borrow a leaf from Benue and Taraba among other states and "courageously put in place mechanism for the enactment and full implementation" of the legislation.

The statement says those rearing livestock should secure ranches close to their residences to avoid cases of cattle rustling and encroachment on farmlands which often lead to clashes between farmers and herdsmen.

The group in the statement equally called for a panel of inquiry to investigate the alleged complicity of men of the Operation Save Haven in the recent attack on a community in Bassa Local Government Area.
