The Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has signed the state's 2018 appropriation bill into law.

The budget pecked at N146.5bn was signed on Tuesday, at the new Government House, Rayfield by the governor, after a record three weeks treatment by the State House of Assembly.

The budget initially pecked at N145.5bn by the Governor, presented on December 20, 2017 was hiked by the legislature to cover "constituency projects and other areas of need," said Gov. Lalong.

Out of the budget, 48% of the total sum is for capital projects while 52% is recurrent.
