About 7 kilometers of vegetable farmlands have been mowed down by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Tafi-Gana village, Miango district, in Bassa LGA, Plateau State, officials say.

President of the Irigwe Development Association (IDA), Sunday Abdu reported in a meeting currently holding at the STF headquarters, Jos between the Miango community and Fulani leaders, as well as officials of the STF and Plateau Peace Building Agency.

In his words, the Fulani have never kept their own part of the bargain for peace as they have continually attacked the natives despite several peace meetings.

Thus, the IDA Chief sought to know the "sin" of the locals to warrant the persistent attacks.

He equally sought for justice from the STF leadership.

In a swift response however, a Fulani leader, Atdo Wada Waziri said the Fulani could not be blamed for the crime without evidences.

He equally accused the locals of stealing their crops and killing their people without provocation.

Mr. Waziri further alleged that the locals have been caught unleashing mayhem against themselves only for the Fulani to be blamed.

The Commandant of the STF, Major General Anthony Atolagbe however appealed for submissions that would bring an end to the problems rather than continually accuse one another.
