A Plateau interest group, Run Muruwi Dialogue Forum on Friday donated relief materials to internally displaced persons (IDPs) of the recent Daffo attacks in Bokkos.

The group which was moved by the plights of the IDPs donated toiletries, cutleries, sanitary pads and some cash amount among others.

The group according to its spokesperson, Evangelist Philip Alams had since the Daffo attacks constituted an Emergency Response Committee to help drive the humanitarian vision.

The Committee had Rev. Ayuba Matawal as Chairman, D'yong Mangut as Secretary as well as Evangelist Philip Alams, Magit Mangut Mafyai, and Ezra Pollong as members.

Receiving the items, the National Chairman of Daffo Mangai community appreciated the gesture believing it would aide the psychological recovery of the IDPs after the trauma undergone during the attacks.

The items received by the representatives of the IDPs and Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for onward distribution were facilitated through personal contributions of members.

The group is about the first among its contemporaries to stage such a move since the outbreak of violence in the Irish potato rich Daffo community.
