Reports coming in say a native village in Fann district, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State is presently under attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

Although details of the incident are still sketchy, at least one person has been reported killed in the attack which reportedly began earlier today.

It is however not sure where precisely the attack is said to be ongoing but multiple sources say the affected village is few meters away from Rahei Fann, a community of nearly 1000 people.

While some say it is in Rambu village, other sources say it is in Pagas village.

The two villages are however said to be neighboring each other and have both been under tension since a foiled attack in the area last week.

Sources in the two villages are equally not picking calls, suggesting a likely unrest.

The STF spokesperson, Major Umar Adams,  has however said the conflict might be an exerggeration of issues in the neighborhood.

According to him, some STF personnel had trailed some cattle rustlers to the area who are believed to have been resisting arrest.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Tyopev Terna and the Plateau State Commissioner for information, Yakubu Dati on the other hand, when contacted pleaded to make enquiries and report back.
