Two separate attacks in Central Nigeria's Bokkos and Riyom Local Government Areas of Plateau State yesterday left some three people dead, reports say.

One person was killed and another critically injured in what appeared to be the resurgence of attacks in Daffo, Bokkos LGA after weeks of relative calm.

The incident which occurred at Fubok Faram village at about 5pm local time threw traders at the Daffo Tuesday market and residents into confusion as the loud gun blasts filled the air.

The deceased identified as Mr. Isaiah Ishaku from Morok village in Daffo was believed to have been deposited at an unknown mortuary in Bokkos.

The injured person identified as Mafulul Sunday was rushed to the Cottage hospital in Bokkos and later moved to Ola hospital in Jos for treatment.

Some three Fulani youths were reportedly arrested by the STF in connection with the attack which was believed to be an armed robbery incident.

The leader of the Fulani community in Daffo, Ardo Shagari Abdullahi had earlier said the attack could never have been carried out by their youths as they had done well in cautioning their wards against such.

The suspects arrested - Mr. Yakubu Bedu, Mr. Isa Buba and Mr. Sale Karo are however said to be resident within the Daffo community.

The suspects are expected to, along with some five others be investigated for murder, assault and theft which are all punishable under the Nigerian Criminal Code Act.

The Riyom attack which occurred at about 10pm in Tashek hamlet, Jol village, Riyom LGA left some two people dead.

Officials have confirmed the two attacks but haven't released details.
