The Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA yesterday launched its Television channel.

The ceremony was performed at the ECWA Headquarters in Jos, Plateau State by the Church's outgoing President, Jeremiah Gado.

According to him, SIM-ECWA is among the first missionary outfits to use modern media to reach out with the 'good news' of salvation, teachings about faith, and Christian living in Africa.

He added that the addition of ECWA TV to its existing Radio ELWA and Today’s Challenge Magazine makes it possible for ECWA to explore a broad spectrum of ministries designed to provide platforms for Christians within and outside ECWA to proclaim the Gospel of God’s kingdom to the whole world.

He stated that through the ECWA TV, God’s eternal love to the world would be proclaimed in a “world filled with prejudice, hate, conflicts and confusion.”

Gado said, “Another focus of ECWA TV is to address the daily challenges Christians and humanity face in a dynamic world that presents humanity with more choice of evil than godly standards. ECWA TV programs are designed to promote good and fight evil by making sure our presentations motivate and inform everyone on how and why we should embrace the standards of God and forsake evil.”

The cleric disclosed that among the challenges confronting people in the new age information is “the storm of information” the individual is bombarded with so many conflicting information, it is designed to achieve commercial, economic, developmental, social and even spiritual ends instead of falsehood and counterfeit. In the midst of this, he said “ECWA TV will seek to proclaim the truth, analyze what is out there in the light of God’s word and guide seekers of truth to Jesus Christ who is the way, the truth and the life.”

In his remarks, Plateau State Governor, Simon Bako Lalong congratulated ECWA for adding to its media channels with the setting up of ECWA TV.
