The Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria, PMAN says Nigeria will make quicker progress towards the fulfilment of its great potentials if its citizens foster peace, security and stability which are essential for development.

This the association believes is attainable when citizens show "greater respect for each other and providing the enabling environment for effective citizen engagement."

In an Eid-El Fitri Message by its National President, Dr. Gbenga Falope, PMAN hoped that the lessons of piety, love and sacrifice learnt during the Ramadan remain amongst Nigerians for the good of all.

The full text of the message says:

Great Nigerians, on behalf of the executive and members of the Nigerian music industry, I  felicitate with all Nigerians, especially our Muslim brothers and sisters on this glorious Eid-El Fitri celebration.
As we celebrate, it is our hope that lessons of piety, love and sacrifice which was learnt during the Ramadan continue to remain with us for the good of all.

As musicians, we believe Nigeria will make quicker progress towards the fulfilment of its great potentials as a nation if its citizens foster peace, security and stability which are essential for development by showing greater respect for each other and providing the enabling environment for effective citizen engagement.

We call on all our members & musicians across the country, Muslims and Christians to join hands with us and co-operate with one another towards the attainment of our collective objective of a greater PMAN for the benefit of all.

As entertainers, we need to reinvent and set our priorities right, we must take proactive measures that would help us confront the multifaceted problems of our union if confidence and faith in PMAN must be restored.

My executive believes that a strong and virile PMAN is achievable and with unity, we can positively transform PMAN into a strong, united and progressive entity which all Nigerian musicians  will be proud of. This we are committed to do.

May Almighty Allah continue to bless us all.

We wish you all happy and peaceful Eid-el-Fitri celebrations.

Signed
Dr. Gbenga Falope
