Governor Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom State says Corps members serving in different Nigerian States have the charge to support successful conduct of the forthcoming 2019 general elections.

Gov. Udom addressing the 2018 Batch B Corps members posted to the state said this the Corps members can do through good social conduct before, during and after the polls.

Represented by the State Commissioner for Youths and Sport, Mr. Monday Ugo, the Governor pledged government's readiness to support the Corps members to achieve their set objectives.

He particularly announced plans to redeem his pledge to upgrade facilities in the State's NYSC orientation camp as well as complete ongoing projects therein.

The announcement followed a remindee by the State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Okonje Amosun on his earlier pledge to that effect.

The NYSC Coordinator in his remarks expressed gratitude to the governor, the media and all supporting partners of the corps for their support to the scheme.
