A man said to specialize in cattle rustling was yesterday arrested by the special military Task Force in central Nigeria's Plateau State.

Sources say the suspect identified as a Fulani herder was arrested after he and others raided the home of a native livestock farmer in Adoro village, Foron district of Barkin Ladi LGA, carting away with his cattle.

One person was said to have sustained bullet injuries during the raid and was receiving treatment at an undisclosed healthcare centre.

The suspect according to the sources was moved to the headquarters of the STF in Barkin Ladi for further interrogation where he was detained by the authorities.

His arrest is however said to have angered some top officers of the Task Force who share sociocultural similarities with him.

He is therefore believed to have been given a script to act towards facilitating his release and inducting others in his place.

MKB has however not secured any official comment or detail into the matter.
