The member representing Barkin Ladi Local Government Area (LGA) in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Peter Gyendeng has received two awards of recognition by Northern Nigeria's leading radio station, Unity FM and Northern Nigerian Christian Youths for Change.

The award by Unity FM, presented to the lawmaker this week is in recognition of Mr. Gyendeng's contributions to the development of democracy at the grassroots.

It is also in recognition of his steadfastness in ensuring the welfare and protection of his constituency.

The Northern Nigerian Christian Youths for Change also within the week awarded the House of Assembly member in recognition of his 'great' contributions to human development and dogged representation.

Speaking to MKB on the two awards, Gyendeng who had turned down several awards before now expressed delight over the recognition.

According to him, the awards which recognize his seemingly unnoticeable contributions to humanity and grassroots development are a huge encouragement.

The awards which he dedicated to his constituents he said have motivated him to do more for the benefit of his constituents.

Mr. Gyendeng who appreciated the chance to serve his constituency however solicited for prayers to enable him deliver on his legislative responsibilities.

He further expressed desire to return for greater impact if given the chance come 2019.
