A Nigerian radio presenter and renowned activist, popularly known as Big Blunt has slammed the recent attack on Gov. Simon Lalong's convoy as condemnable.

The attack according to him is "uncalled for even if there are reasons."

"We shouldn't let our emotions mar the numerous efforts put in place by citizens to have United Plateau," he said.

In a social media broadcast, the famous anti-government advocate said, "I may not be a fan of the Governor's style of leadership but will not support any form of hooliganism and thuggery from anyone especially when it gets to the point of destruction and threats to the safety of humans including the Governor."

He however warned that unfairly attributing the attack to the Berom ethnic group which predominantly resides around the Aguldi area where the attack took place, might stir up anger and revolt against the government.

"Those of you trying to use this act of lawlessness to continue singing the songs of hate on the Berom nation, it is important to note that Anguldi is a heterogeneous settlement and so the action could not have been carried out by an exclusively Berom group.

"This will not correct anything but further create anger in the minds of the innocently accused People, we need each other now than ever so let's not allow any further division," he said.
