Gunmen believed to be Fulani militants on Thursday ambushed six local farmers on their way to farm in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, Plateau State killing four, Stefanos Foundation reports.

The attack which according to the foundation occurred at about 6:30am in Nding Susut village also left two injured.

A Facebook page post by the humanitarian organization on Thursday evening says the attack came just two days after a peace meeting facilitated  by the Special military Task Force in Barkin Ladi.

Officials have not commented on the report and no arrest has been announced.

Meanwhile, sources in Jos say there was an armed attack in Gut, Rayfield Resort, near Plateau State government House, Jos.

MKB received news of the attack at about 3am, Friday but could not ascertain details.
