A national Board of Trustee member of the All Progressives Congress, Amb. Yahaya Kwande has been queried for alleged anti-party activities.

Kwande was slammed a query yesterday by the Plateau State Chairman of the party, Hon. Latep Dabang for the "huge embarrassment" he caused the party when he attended the opposition Peoples Democratic Party rally in Jos a week ago.

Kwande was specifically called to answer for his comments at the rally which suggest that he and the State Governor, Simon Lalong might join the PDP.

The Plateau elder statesman, Kwande who accompanied and drummed support for a Presidential aspirant of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar was quoted by local media as saying, "don't be surprised if I and the State Governor join the Peoples Democratic Party."

Kwande was believed to be Gov. Lalong's godfather who made the way for the sponsorship of his gubernatorial campaign by the ex Nigerian Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.

The State Chairman of the party, Latep Dabang who signed the query was equally said to have lobbied for a ministerial position through the ex Vice President after the polls.

The query however became necessary following rumoured threats by the National leadership of the party to withhold clearance for Gov. Lalong if the action was not taken.

Mr. Kwande is expected to respond to the query by the end of today or face disciplinary actions.
