The Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong says his administration is in 'constant' interface with security agencies towards protecting the fundamental human rights of its citizens as they carry out their constitutional duties.

In addition, the government is committed to the protection of lives and property in the state, the State Commissioner for Information, Yakubu Dati said in a statement yesterday.

Government has a 'robust' monthly Peace and Security Dialogue Architecture where stakeholders discuss issues of peace and security, Dati explained.

He assured that "infractions" in the security operation have been taken up with the leadership of the security agencies concerned.

He however calls on citizens to support government's efforts at restoring peace while being mindful of merchants of 'fake news'.
