Fresh reports from Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State say suspected staff of the State Independent Electoral Commission were this night arrested with prewritten results showing the party as the winner of the Wednesday's Local Government elections in some electoral Wards in the locality.

Sources say the results which were different from the actual outcome of the elections were those of the Councillorship positions.

Those of the Chairmanship position, official sources at the designated collation centre, Prestige Events Centre, Jebbu Bassa alleged were being scripted in similar manner at an unknown location.

They both alleged that party agents and supporters mostly of the opposition PDP have been abandoned at the collation centre with few Road Safety and Customs personnel where no collation was taking place.

Officials of the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) were believed to be secretly preparing fake results in favour of the APC for announcement by 6am.

Efforts to get comments from the PLASIEC headquarters as of 3am, Thursday 11th September 2018, the time of publishing this report however proved abortive.

Meanwhile, Customs and Road Safety officials and party faithful at the forsaken collation centre have been prevented from leaving the venue.

Frustrated youths according to official sources surrounded them when they attempted withdrawing at about 4am.

The youths reportedly insisted on them staying with them till sunrise.

A voice recording sent to MKB by one of the sources at the venue has a male voice with an Igbo accent, said to be a Custom Superintendent's explaining that he had sent his men to the field but had waited in vain at the collation centre for result sheets.

One of the sources told MKB that local youth leaders had since midnight struggled to prevent their irate members from going violent in order to preserve peace.
