The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State has sought the services of a Nigerian international Gospel singer, Dorcas Bentu for the production of a campaign theme ahead of the 2019 General elections.

The Party Chairman, Damishi Sango while hosting the renowned artiste on a courtesy call at the State Party Secretariat in Jos, Friday specifically demanded for a compelling modern-old school blend of music for the promotion of the Governorship flag bearer of the party.

He believed with the partnership of the singer and other people of goodwill, the party would succeed even beyond the 2019 elections.

Ms. Bentu had led a delegation of friends from the entertainment industry to the party to formally present herself having officially picked a membership ticket of the party.

The PDP according to her was the only party that had come up with people oriented programmes and had touched lives.

She pledged to partner with the state leadership and other stakeholders of the party to ensure its success in the coming elections.

Bentu however dismissed insinuations that politics was too dirty for Christians to participate in.

"David was a King and also a warior.

"This is not the first time a Minister will be going into politics in fact the more Ministers we have in politics, the better the country will be," she said.

Bentu had unofficially told MKB that more gospel Ministers would be joining her in the party, including veteran singer and producer, Dr. Panama Percy Paul.
