A Plateau State House of Assembly aspirant for Bokkos constituency, Arc. Macham Makut has tasked security agencies to ensure criminals disrupting peace in the state are apprehended and tried.

This he believes is the only way to stop violent attacks and secure the state's future.

Speaking at the Bokkos Pilot Primary School on Saturday after being affirmed by his Social Democratic Party (SDP) as it's sole candidate for the House of Assembly race in Bokkos, Makut said the current efforts of securities must be improved to achieve success.

“Plateau State deserves better and every life matters,” he said.

Makut assured of providing quality representation if elected.

"It is our duty to bring about positive change and afford our people the opportunity to live better lives and be protected from evil forces that seek to destroy us,” he said.

Makut was affirmed the candidate of the party in the bid for the Bokkos constituency seat in the State House of Assembly ahead of the 2019 General elections after being cleared by the SDP election organising committee in Jos.

The affirmation exercise was held in the presence of party members, INEC and the DSS at the Pilot Central Primary School Bokkos.

A party stalwart, Prince Amallam Kuya moved for the adopted of Arc. Macham Makut, while another chieftain, Mr. Gaius Lekshak seconded.

Mr. Makut would be slugging it out with other candidates from other parties at the secondary elections slated for February 2019.
