The Plateau State Chairman of The All Progressives Congress APC, Hon. Letep Dabang has been reelected as Chairman of the Inter Party Advisory Committee,  IPAC, Plateau State.

Mr. Dabang was returned as the IPAC Chair at an election held at the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC Headquarters in Jos, Friday.

The conducted by the National Working Committee of IPAC and officials of INEC also produced Mr. Salihu Adam Abdullahi of the KOWA Party as Deputy Chairman 1, Mt. Abdul Abdul of GPN as Deputy Chairman 2.

SDP's Abubakar Dogara was elected Secretary, to be assisted by Mr. Sebastin Pyoklam of the YDP.

Similarly, Mrs. Grace Zamfara of MPN emerged Treasurer while Mr. Amos Gombi of the PDP became Financial Secretary.

While Mr. Yahaya Ali Ali of the PDC was elected Publicity Secretary, Mr. Sam Danwi of NCP was elected Organizing Secretary just as Barr. Salome David of PPP was elected Legal Adviser.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Plateau State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Halilu Pai, represented by the body's Administrative Secretary, Mr. Gbadamosi Abiodung said INEC will work closely with the newly elected IPAC officials to ensure hitch-free general and other elections in the state.

He called on political parties in the state to impresses on their followers to exhibit the "highest" sense of responsibility during the 2019 election exercise.

In his remarks, the newly elected Chairman of IPAC, Hon. Dabang appreciated the opportunity to lead again, promising to consolidate on existing successes.

He pledged to work with relevant stakeholders such as INEC, Political Parties, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and Faith-based organizations among others to ensure hitch-free general elections in 2019.

Earlier, administering the oath of office on the newly elected IPAC officials, Barr. Adamu Gabriel cautioned against contravening constitutional oaths which he said could attract "serious" consequences.

The ceremony climaxed with the presentation of a certificates of return to the new executive of IPAC.
