The 2018 PRTV/Golden Boot Soccer Academy annual age-grade championship yesterday came to an end with a cluster of personalities and spectacle on display.

Special guest of honour at  the ceremony, Mr. Daguk Fompun who is chairman Plateau State civil service commission called for proper synergy amongst existing stakeholders in grassroots football development.

The PRTV General Manager, Mr. Jeftha Jackden said the fundamental principles of staging the competition is to promote unity and provide a platform for youth career progress.

Supervising Director, 5 aside organising committee, Mr. Yakubu Taddy appreciated collaborators and called for more collaborative gestures from private organisations in what he termed as necessary in a time resources are dwindling for government amidst other top remarks from guests.

Eli boys fc beat Flying shooters 4-2 to claim the bronze medal shield after a largely rampaging James Bala netted four goals to help Eli boys put behind them their semi- final loss to Bwin fc.

In the final game,the tournament's leading scorer, Umar bala secured a brace for his side ,superstars Gangare  to include a quick finish in the opening minutes.

Bwin fc however had their  plans as a largely physical Bwin side got back to secure a 6-2 victory with Nenchin Titus bagging a number of goals.

Winners were presented with a winning prize of two- hundred thousand naira only while first runners up took home one hundred and fifty thousand naira and one hundred thousand naira for the second runner up.
