The Plateau State Government on Wednesday said former Governor Jonah Jang of the State is responsible for the relocation of several Federal establishments from the State.

Jang due to lack of capacity and inability to interface beyond "clannish cleavages", the State was thrown into 'needless' crises forcing the transfer of the federal structures to other parts of the country, Mr. Yakubu Datti, the State Commissioner of Information said.

This according to the Commissioner is a contrast to the present Governor, Simon Lalong's constant interface with the central government towards attracting development to the State.

Thus, Mr. Jang's recent comments alleging that Gov. Lalong runs the state from Abuja were "rude", said Mr. Datti in a statement.

"The comments by the former governor at Mangu come as a reenactment of the arrogance, high handedness, contempt  and insensitivity to the plight of the people the previous administration was known for, which had thrown the state into crises and caused Plateau so much pain and agony while giving a few in the former governor’s family circle the opportunity to plunder the state," he said.
