Corruption might be high in Nigeria due to citizens' high expectations from political office holders, the ADP Gubernatorial Candidate in Plateau State, Mr. Jon Temlong says.

Mr. Temlong, a retired military General on Saturday believed seeking unnecessary financial support and grants from public servants pushes them to steal public funds at the expense of other crucial state needs.

Meanwhile, public offices are meant for service, not wealth accumulation, he said.

Mr. Temlong cautioned that patronizing and demanding from politicians without questioning their sources of wealth deprives the society of the needed growth.
