Former Nigerian Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode yesterday asked Gov. Simon Lalong of Plateau State to remember his roots and fight for the integrity of his people.

FFK as the renowned essayist is fondly called regretted that "Northern Islamists" have taken "everything" from the Middle Belt people except their integrity.

"They have taken your land, your language...except your respect and self-worth," he said.

Addressing a public discussion forum at Treasures Inn, Jos, Mr. Kayode told Lalong and the Middle Belt tribes to remember and defend their identity.

"Remember who you are and never let them take your identity from you," he said.
