The Independent National Electoral Commission has called for the arrest of popular Nigerian Hip Hop stars, MI and Iceprince over what it tags "PVC fraud".

The duo had last week organized a voter awareness show in Jos where PVC data of interested participants were reportedly collected as entry tickets.

In reaction, the electoral umpire has alerted security agencies, believing it to be aimed at cloning the voter cards for election malpractice, a top INEC official revealed, Tuesday.

Although the official who spoke "off record" did not give details, he was sure the body was not going soft on the case.

"They will never get away with it," he said.

MI and Iceprince were believed to have been working for the State Governor, Simon Lalong.

Mr. Panshak Zamani popularly known as Iceprince had however said on Monday in Shendam, Southern Plateau that he was not paid anything to campaign or carry out any act for the Governor.

"I simply love Lalong and I love Plateau State so I campaign for him," he said at an APC rally.

No comment has however been obtained on the INEC allegations.

The INEC source has however said the body plans a voter awareness rally in the central Nigerian Jos city to enlighten voters on their rights and obligations ahead of the 2019 polls.
