The Church of Christ in Nations says recent reports linking it with a political interest are false.

COCIN according to its Vice President, Rev. Dr. Obed Dashan has members in every political Party and has no particular interest in the 2019 General Elections.

Any Pastor who therefore preaches in favour of any political Party is speaking for himself and not the Church, Rev. Dashan said on Tuesday.

"All aspirants in every political Party are our children and we can't reject any of them because we love them," he said.

Speaking at a dialogue session on preventing election violence in Jos the Plateau State capital, the Church's Second in Command warned that politicians must eschew provocative statements in their campaigns or risk throwing the State into crisis.
