A Nigerian peasant family was, Tuesday thrown into mourning as its 2-years-old schoolboy, Master Obedience Ishaya was reportedly abducted by an unknown person.

Little Master Ishaya, a kindergarten pupil of Government Primary School, Dong, 2km West of Jos Wildlife Park in the Plateau State capital was said to have gone missing after closing from school at about 1230hrs local time.

Fellow school kids say the boy was invited for some 'biscuits' by a "man with a car," when he went missing.

"I was with him, the man asked us to come and take biscuits, I refused but Obi (missing Master Obedience) followed him to his car," a 4-year old kid said.

The incident was unknown to the school authorities until the next day, it was learnt.

Parents of the boy were equally uninformed until they commenced search when the boy could not return home hours after school closed.

"He always comes home with his fellow pupils, latest, one hour after closing as they mostly trek.

"The day it happened, we asked his colleagues when they came home and we got different stories.

"That made us to start asking until we got the kids he was last seen with," heartbroken parents of the kid, Mr. and Mrs. Ishaya Moses narrated in tears.

The case was reported to a local Police station at about dusk, but no action was taken, it was gathered.

The parents of four could not bear it and therefore contacted higher Police authorities at Rantya Police Division, Jos on Thursday to facilitate the search, they said.

However, as of Friday, no report on the missing child was received from the law enforcements, said the farming family.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Plateau State Command, Mr. Tyopev Terna when contacted simply said, "let me call you back."

The disappearance of the little boy has not just brought pain upon the affected family but the entire Dong community, local authorities say.

Mr. Augustine Agwom, the village Chief of Dong Katon said in an interview that the incident was the first of its kind in the community.

According to him, a meeting of stakeholders was already being considered towards preventing a reoccurrence.

He however pleaded with government to thoroughly investigate the case and speedily recover the missing boy.
