A member of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Mr. Isaiah Pollong who was kidnapped in January 2019 in Jos the Plateau State capital has died of suspected High Blood Pressure.

Mr. Pollong, a Pastor of Christ Apostolic Church, Bokkos died on Tuesday shortly after complaining of severe chest pains.

He was said to have driven from Bokkos to Barkin Ladi and back on Monday evening where he went to pick his wife from her workplace before falling ill.

He was reportedly rushed to a private medical centre, Luna hospital in Bokkos where he died after midnight.

Mr. Pollong, the Bokkos Divisional Secretary of the NRCS was said to have reported a rise in his blood pressure after being released by his captors in January.

He had gone for medical checkup in Plateau Specialists Hospital when he was abducted by armed men, it was learnt.

He was released after days in captivity after the payment of an undisclosed ransom.
