A new book on "Exemplary Christians in the Nigerian Public Square" has been released to counter negative impressions about Nigeria.

Mr. Emmanuel Oladipo, a renowned Scholar and Church servant, Saturday released the book "to prove that many Nigerians exist who are doing great things to change the world for good but are not celebrated."

His aim, he said at the launch of the Book at ECWA Headquarters Church, Jos, Plateau State, is to also challenge more Christians to "shine the light of Christ" wherever they are.

Commenting on the book, the President, Nigerian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (NIFES), Rev. Gideon Para-Mallam expressed confidence that the book will inspire Christians "to live out the testimonies of their lives as followers of Jesus Christ in their respective areas of endeavour."

The book as Prof. Istifanus Dafwan puts it, is essentially an abridged biography of 15 Christians.

Prof. Dafwan who gave a review of the book described it as "An excellent and timely discourse on the challenges confronting the Church in Nigeria and how they were able to cope and triumph in their various endeavors/missionary stations of life, thereby leaving behind legacies for us to emulate."
