A Special Adviser to Gov. Simon Lalong of Plateau State, Mr. Alfred Makut has resigned as Secretary of the State's APC Youths Online Forum.

The SA on ICT in his resignation letter obtained by MKB, says he is moving unto "New terrain and  target...as a progressive youth and partner in the actualisation of the Plateau dream and Project."

The letter dated May 12, 2019 further states that the renowned APC advocate is withdrawing "To pave the way for others to steer the ship (of APCYOF)."

Makut who recently started a campaign for the positive use of the social media for development appreciated the support of his principals and fellows in the forum, believing the APC still holds great prospects in 2023 when the next General elections would be held.

The full content of the letter reads:

It is with a euphoric retrospect and a mood of triumph, trials and fulfillment that i write to all the members of the APC YOUTHS ONLINE FORUM..."The Strength Of Change".

As I look back on  how a phone call to two gallant comrades and ardent APC youth supporters snowballed into the formation of the APC YOUTHS ONLINE FORUM IN 2017, with over 500 members online and over 15,000 structures and members spread across the 17  Local Government Areas of the state,I  will gladly say to anyone that cares to Dare; that when there is a will there will always be a way.

Out of nothing,we created something worthwhile.

we created value and made ourselves relevant in the scheme of things as Youths that  set the stage for the metamorphosis of an APC YOUTHS based group saddled with the responsibility of engaging,  interacting and informing  the populace on the activities of Government both Online and at the grassroots.

Some called us E-rats,some say Tea and bread, some called us social media Thugs and Lalong errand boys, whatever that meant, we were focus on letting the people know the strides, challenges, successes and achievements of the Lalong led rescue administration.

As part of the Pioneer steering committee/Exco's, saddled with the formation and growth of the group, I will say it was a challenge that was worthwhile and revealing.

It is on record that this group in constant strategizing and useful engagements with the Lalong led Rescue Administration paved the way for the engagement of over 17 of its members as Special Assistants On ICT to the Governor and other empowerment's from Government and civil society as developmental partners on the Plateau.

It's reflective to take the back seat at this moment to pave the way for others to steer the ship of this visionary group going forward.

I am optimistic of the calibre of youths in the forum that are leaders and Comrades in the struggle that will steer the wheel of the forum to even greater heights as we approach 2023 electioneering voyage coupled with  the responsibility of informing the populace on the day to day runnings of Government.

I take a bow to move unto new terrain and  target that I have set for myself as a progressive youth and partner in the actualisation of the Plateau dream and Project.

I cannot end this without a special thank you to all the members of the APC YOUTHS ONLINE Forum for giving me the opportunity to serve them with this pioneer caretaker role.

To all the dynamic Exco's, The Caucus, The Party Secretariat and all APC supporters and of course a big thank you to the opposition. Plateau is the winner at the end.

My sincere appreciation goes to The Governor Of the Youths and APC youth Online Forum -Chief JOHN DAFA'AN, The Engine Room-Engr Silas Vem, Dung Dalyop, Joseph Lengmang, Pius Hoomen, Rufus Bature, Festus Faunter, Prof.John Wade, Yakubu Dati, Hon.Yusuf Gagdi, David Daser and Chief Micheal George Makwal and many that supported and shared in the vision of the progressive group.

Most importantly my gratitude goes to Governor Simon Bako Lalong and Prof.Sonni Tyoden who endorsed the vision of the online forum from day one.

We can clearly say it is a win-win situation at the end of the electioneering process.

PLATEAU will certainly Rise Again.
