A renowned international peace and human rights organization, Search for Common Ground will today meet with journalists in Jos, the capital of Plateau State to discuss areas of partnership for peace and conflict resolution.

The meeting billed for 9am, Nigerian time holds at Crispan hotel, Rayfield, Jos.

The forum aims to appraise the conflict reporting activities of Journalists in the Tin City and identify areas to improve on.

Founded in 1982, Search for Common Ground exists to transform the way the world deals with conflict – away from adversarial approaches and towards collaborative problem solving.

It work with local partners to find culturally appropriate means to strengthen societies’ capacity to deal with conflicts constructively: to understand the differences and act on the commonalities.

The NGO works at all levels of society to build sustainable peace through three main avenues: dialogue, media, and community.
