Mr. Gofwen presented N30,000 to Mr. Wokrit to open a public scholarship support account official

Mr. Favour Wokrit, 17, scored a record 323/400 in the 2019 Nigerian Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Examinations, after making 9As in his West African School Certificate Examinations, WAEC, the best in the entire Sub-Sahara region.

However, no official pronouncement has been made by state officials on the educational career of the native of Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Wokrit who graduated from Christian Royal College, Sabon Barki, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, has only gotten financial grant from the National Executive of Ngas Development Association, NDA to open a scholarship support account for public donations.

"I desire to be a Medical Doctor," Wokrit says.

This the National President of the NDA, Engr. Gonen Gofwen says must be supported by Government to come to reality.

"The Plateau State government should ensure that this young man realizes his dreams of becoming a Medical Doctor and a Scientist of notable repute.

"He being among the top three in Nigeria and best in Plateau State is worthy of celebration especially as the Nation strives for Technological and Scientific Innovations," Mr. Gofwen said while presenting the N30,000 grant for the account opening in Pankshin.

At the reception organized by NDA, Mr. Wokrit also received a donation of N100,000 from the Resident Independent Electoral Commissioner, Benue State, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda.

A pledge was made at the event by the Member Representing Pankshin North in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Philip Dasun to pursue a legislative action on Mr. Wokrit's case.

But whether that effort yields any results, only time will tell.
